Self Defence Program for College and High School Students

Hello School principles and sports coordinators.

Have you considered Ju Jitsu as a school sporting activity?

The Australian Ju Jitsu Association has been conducting self-defence classes in colleges, high schools and universities in Brisbane for the past twenty years.

Ju Jitsu, the "gentle art of self defence", develops an individual's physical, psychological and moral education.

Ju Jitsu skills incorporate techniques of body language, balance retention, incident avoidance and assault prevention.

The benefits of Ju Jitsu include improved fitness, coordination, body movement, posture, self-confidence and respect for others.

Self-defence arts such as Ju Jitsu are not taught to encourage young people to become involved in conflict. Ju Jitsu often allows a non-violent way out of a potentially violent situation with the use of passive resistance techniques, as well as providing effective methods of self-defence when a physical means of defence is a necessity.

The Australian Ju Jitsu Association welcomes the opportunity to provide a self-defence program suitable for student or staff to meet your institutions needs. A free demonstration is available on request.

If a suitable training area is not available at your school, training can be arranged at your local Police Citizens Youth Club.
